NGV w/ Selina

Selina was going back to Vietnam soon so we decided to hang out before she left
so naturally we went to an art gallery

had a quick sushi breakfast sitting under this hall area before going off to see the place
I remember this ceiling from high school trips to the gallery

and then off we went to explore the museum
look at this fancy gold carousel
art ok

this installation was amazing, it was titled Reflection Model
it was an intricately sculptured model of a traditional Japanese shrine that floated from the ceiling
it was so crazy detailed, can't even imagine how long it must've taken
years doodz

that was my favourite part, it was so still in person it was really calming tbh
then we went through the rest of the gallery which has stuff which has always been there

#håståg victorian selfies
I really liked this sculpture cos it reminded me of an egg and that obviously makes it 100% more photo worthy than all other art in the gallery

a rare photo of Selina
we never really take photos of each other whenever we hang out?? I guess we're not really the selfie taking type it's a little weird disrupting the vibe to be like "selfie!" when you're just chillin
although looking back it's like "?? ... did we exist "

Selina's favourite section is the huge rooms full of Victoria era and Romantic era paintings
honestly I don't really know the names haha
but it's pretty impressive in person

at the top of NGV

after we were done in the gallery we just roamed around the city randomly
grabbed a Krispy Kreme gotta get that

Odie!

Selina gave me a whole bunch of Parks and Rec to watch
I watched it over the summer break it was pretty great, defs one of my favourite shows
