snails

Short post:

Got home really late from White Night so Selina's family let me crash on their sofa. We didn't quite stay till 7am, but still pretty late. I had no ride home, my mum's overseas. In the morning I went along to Ashburton Festival with them for the heck of it. Well, they were working.

$3 sno-cones and free ice cream

It was so hot today, I feel sorry for these guys in the costumes.

This guy must have it even worse. There was nothing much going on so I decided to go home.
While I was waiting at Ashburton train station, just about to catch the train, out of nowhere Selina comes running up frantically saying that her parents can drive me home. Haha, they also invited me to dinner.
I think they feel like I'm at high risk of dying without my mum in the country.

So Selina's family graciously invited me for dinner. Um, they had these sea snails. I like to think I'm an adventurous eater, or at the very least not picky, so I ate a few. They're not toooo bad...
But I don't think I'll be eating them again any time soon. Fish sauce makes everything taste awesome though.

Also, don't worry, sea snails wasn't all we ate.

Lemon lime bitters + some other stuff.

Those snails were an interesting experience. I feel bad because Selina's family always cooks amazing food when I'm there, haha.

I got home really tired and messy, boy was I glad to see my bed that night.
