Judie picked me up to brainstorm ideas for Caf's card about a week before her birthday.
I wanted to do a Walking Dead style comic since she's been absolutely obsessed with it recently. I also started watching it recently, it's pretty good. Better than the comics, which definitely says something.
But first we started on the card cover.
And it spontaneously started raining like cray.
Judie made tacos for dinner, with which I assisted minimally.
I was more preoccupied with taking photos of cats.
And brainstorming a little.
Judie and I had the idea of making the cover super girly to throw Caf off.
We made it pink and put huge cupcakes and rhinestones on it.
And a few love hearts for good measure.
I came up with the title RYE'S & SHINE since the story takes place at Rye.
Pretty good, ey? EY???
Doesn't it just scream CAF?
Judie was pretty proud of our handiwork.
I was vaguely disgusted by the cutesy-ness but at the same time was crazily obsessed with the idea of making it super over the top to totally gross Caf out.
Judie intervened.
Then I went home and had about a week to complete the comic.
Which I did not use wisely.
As you'll find out later.
Here are some shots I took while working on it.
I like drawing zombies.
Used up just about all my fineliners on this comic...
Anyway, I took photos of all the pages this time...unlike with Joey's comic.
I made them into a little booklet
You can read it if you want, just click expand.
I really hope this works.
omgosh the issuu book thing is so cool!
