I'm typing this in the middle of February but everything here is from late November/early Dec. This blog post is just gonna be full of random shit.
One night I decided to sit outside for an hour and take photos of clouds. If you look carefully you can see the stars going down in the night sky, I really wanna go to the BUSHLAND we have here in Australia and shoot star trails one day. You can't really do it in the suburbs/city, too much smoke and light pollution. My computer decided to be a little shit and die on me so while I looked for a replacement I had to find ways other than the internet to pass the time. I did some art.
Those are lyrics to Coldplay's UFO. Probably my favourite off their album Mylo Xyloto. It seems like practically everyone I know went to their concert like 2 weeks ago. Didn't really pique my interest even though I dig almost all their stuff? What is my brain? I don't know.
Some patterns made by cutting up old issues of Reader's Digest. I think these took me a week to finish? There's more later in the post but I wanna keep everything in chronological order so you gon hafta wait. Gurl.
I take waaaay too many of these pictures, but making GIFs from them is so addictive, it's like a disease. I can't stahp. Someone help me.
It was 38° on Thursday three days ago, I melted. Magnum Ego Caramel's the bomb, I can't believe I only just discovered it.
Made cold soba noodles, they're the best for hot days.
And reading Sherlock Holmes. Found this one in an op shop for like 4 bucks ($4?? SERIOUSLY). It's got almost every Sherlock story ever written, I think it's only missing one or two. The stories were pretty interesting too, had me hooked. Haven't finished it yet though. There were also thunderstorms two days ago so I sat upstairs in my room with the lights off watching it / taking pictures. I loved watching thunderstorms as a kid, nice to see the habit hasn't gone away.
I caught a decent picture after about an hour, it was sheer luck. I think I've become better at telling when lightning's going to strike, though. Maybe.
Pretty proud of myself for that one. Even though the only reason I got the shot was because my finger slipped and lightning happened to strike at the same time.
I wasn't going to put this on the blog since it's kinda TERRIBLE LOL, but Joey said I should so I must. There isn't really much to say?? MY EYE STARTED BLEEDING. It wasn't bleeding from the outside, just the inside. Maybe a burst blood vessel? Damn I kinda shrugged it off as nothing when people asked me about it, but the more I talk about it the more concerned I get AHAHA. Ok maybe it was pretty serious. I didn't go to a GP, but I did Google it. I ASKED DR GOOGLE. AND I didn't die so it's all fine. Right?
I finished gluing all the cut-outs together to make oval patterns, I think I like the second from the right the most. I'll post the final artwork later together with more of my sketchbook stuff, I realised I haven't been posting very much art this year. Woops.
