Home-made pho
I've been working on my folio, which consists of two projects. The first one is designing a pattern for a paper plane, it's pretty rad. Of course I'm seriously behind in my work. Adobe Illustrator is ridiculously hard to get used to. It's like what you'd get if Paint took steroids and went on an weekend binge in Vegas.
I picked Apollo 11 as my theme, it was a strange coincidence cos Neil Armstrong died a week after we had to choose our themes. Which is sad, but also kinda fortunate as there was a lot of press after his death. Good research material AHAHAHA.
Actually the Moon mission fascinates me, I was obsessed with it as a kid. They basically launched a Volkswagen sized egg into space and guided it to the moon with less computing power than you have on your smart phone.
Also went to VIP Chaddy night with Selina because we both wanted to check out Zara. It wasn't anything special though, so we just sat in the food court and stuffed ourselves with oversaturated, sodium filled Chinese food while staring at models walking down a runway. Where do these ridiculously tall, god-like creatures come from anyway? Do they like grow in bushes and just randomly emerge from the forest to join civilisation?
Oh and Typo had one of those photo-booth thingies, I bought some stuff that was on sale.
For the second brief we have to take photos and manipulate them into a concept in Photoshop, so I thought I would be even more of a hipster and go take a picture in some trees.
There are these pine trees behind this fruit wholesale place we go to, I thought they'd be good for photos and decided to take a look.
Check out this caravan, it's been there since forever. I wonder if someone lives in it or if it's just been abandoned there. If so, we should totally steal it and go road tripping.
I didn't really want to go any closer to it in case a deranged hobo leapt out and savaged me. With like, bean cans or something. I don't know.
Patches of clovers. I really wanna find a four-leaf clover one day, but they don't grow here...sigh.
Because I have no actual, real friends I took pictures of my mum instead.
Nah kidding my mum is awesome.
I can't really say otherwise. I mean, she's my mum. Yeah.
For some reason I thought it would be a really good idea to take a bunch of out-of-focus photos to "create atmosphere" or something. Obviously I was incredibly wrong and just ended up with a shitload of blurry pictures.
This place was awesome though, it was like a whole different, hidden world from the inside. Totally not what I was expecting.
Props to my mum for taking this out-of-focus pic. She has brilliant timing. She captured the exact moment where my eyes were rolling back in my head.
I had this concept which basically consisted of creepy stalkers (me) following someone through the woods. I didn't end up using it though.
It was like 30 degrees that day...can't believe I was wandering around in a suit.
Pine cones.
Farmland.
