Scienceworks

So, continuing from last post.

We decided to explore the Scienceworks area of, uh, Scienceworks.
Some trippy mirror thing:

LOL.
The first section was about light.

There was a laser dodging room in which I became inordinately interested.

And a mirror which you could control.

Haha this cute kid behind us yanked the controls everywhere.

Hobbits.

Giraffes.

can can, can you do the can can

Found this children's tunnel and promptly invaded it.

Judie could stand normally, but...

In my case...

AHAHAHAHAHA.
I can't stop laughing at this picture of myself, I'm practically unrecognisable.
I look like a spastic toad.
There's also a semi-normal picture of me.

Through the rabbit hole, Alice?

Some weird ass shit playing on this television. I think that's a flying man holding a bouquet of turkeys.

Chandelier challenge.

And these vintage cameras!

More mirrors.

Me being a weirdo with this giant tap. It reminded me of the one in Kingdom Hearts though.

Haha Judie flipped out when she saw this monster spring out of the basket, dunno why.

Dead insects. Kinda morbid, but I love looking at preserved insects.

Skeleton cyclist. Even dead corpses get more exercise than me.

And of course, Kathy Freeman who nobody can ever beat.

I dunno what Judie is doing here, but she looks happy.
I guess.

I didn't realise that the skeleton is connected to a set of wires so that it imitates your movement! Thought this was really awesome.

Then the "body talent" section. Obviously setting myself up for failure here.

Us trying to measure arm span.

I didn't realise till after looking at the photos, but we must've been complete idiots on the day to not realise that you're supposed to stand with your back facing the wall. Like in the pictures of the kids. Instead we just chose to aggressively faceplant ourselves into the wall (or maybe that was just me).

Testing your reactions. Mine were predictably terrible.
Actually Judie and I were close. We spent a while here trying to beat each other's reaction times.

The next one measure how high you could jump.

Haha why am I so flimsy.

Rubin's vase.

HOTVO?

Oh my glob. This holographic pig blew my mind. IT LOOKED SO REAL. I WANT ONE. WHERE CAN I BUY ONE?

MC Escher's drawings are my favourite.

There was a light tunnel near the entrance/exit that lit up when you walked past it.
I couldn't resist running through it like a complete doofus.

Not enough for you?
Here's some close ups.

I run like a drunk giraffe, whereas Judie runs normally.

Seriously glad I came today. So what if my exams are in 5 days and my folio is due in 3 days (which I still haven't finished)

We literally just missed the train (blame my inherent bad luck with public transport) so we had to kill time for half an hour until the next one came. Lucky I brought a book to read (The Hostile Hospital by Lemony Snicket). I've read up to book #8 since I got them less than a week ago...so much for exam prep.

Got a picture of the giant Buddha on the way back.

We arranged to meet Caf at Box Hill since we didn't feel like going home yet. The weather got pretty bad.

Very last photo I snapped of Caf before my camera battery died.

Caf was supposed to come today but felt wack so she got some rest instead.
We ate dinner at Movenpick then Ramen King, then headed back to Caf's place to chill before going home.

Our dinner (taken on my phone):

1. White Chocolate & Raspberry Waffles                 2. Movenpick Deluxe Tasting Plate                        3. Iced Chocolate
