Uni

I love looking at the shapes of clouds as they pass by. When I was a kid I knew all the names of the types of clouds, but now I have a life.
HAH who am I kidding, no I don't.

I really enjoy shooting in black and white. Wonder why that is. After I got my camera I realised that I never put any effort into framing a shot well; I just take pictures of whatever I want spontaneously. I guess it's just easier.

My mum found this bird nest in our lemon tree, it was empty though. Thinking about stealing it for my room if it's still there...
Anyway, going to Uni for the first time was an interesting experience, to say the least...my course was a little different from what I expected, especially my first actual design class - the weird things they make us do, you wouldn't believe. The first week they made us take 100 photos around Prahran to print off and so off I went.

God my voice is horrible. Speaking of which, it's been weird making friends at Uni. I guess the lack of contact hours combined with my completely introverted personality makes it kinda difficult. As you can tell from the photos my Uni's pretty kooky, it's like hipster central. I love wandering up and down Chapel St during my breaks, you find the weirdest things in consignment shops.

I love that quote from the photo above - "There is no such thing as strong coffee, just weak people."
Isn't that genius?
Although I guess I'd be classified as an extremely weak person then. I can't really take coffee, which is shocking since I'm a design student and we're supposed to drink coffee. It's our thing.

Also for some reason I wasn't aware there was a performing circus located inside the grounds of my university. It's the kind of thing that makes you wonder how on earth you missed picking up on it.

Other weird things they made us do in Design Studio include collecting a smell in a jar and writing haikus based on our exploration, drawing with our eyes closed, opposite hands, etc...most people in our class are left wondering how on earth does anything we're doing relate to actual design. This doesn't create the most motivated classroom atmosphere, to say the least.
Thanks to Uni I've gotten more familiar with public transport, so I don't look like a lost kid when walking around the city anymore. Actually I probably still do, but at least I know where I'm going.
