The last time I went was probably when I was 8 or 9, fond memories as I won a giant Kermit doll, made even more epic by the fact that it was taller than me at the time.
A lot of things were taller than me back then.
Don't you feel sorry for her already? (the exchange student)
Obligatory shot of the Melbourne Central ceiling.
Went to grab dinner before we headed out to Moomba, at Nando's.
I'd already had dinner so I just swung by McDonald's for junk...I always buy cookies every time I visit Macca's, it's becoming a thing.
We lined up to ride this crazy thing; basically it just spins around a lot. It was pretty fun I guess, although as expected, most of the rides were way overpriced so I only went on one. Not a fan of theme park rides - I much prefer the food. Disappointingly, there wasn't anything too interesting in the way of snacks. Wish they had alligator burgers like last time.
Selina looks calm here but in reality she was shitting herself. She can't handle rides.
Haha classic. I wish I could look this retarded.
(Just kidding, I probably look worse just walking down the street.)
Jess and Sannie didn't go on the ride with us; Wilson went to go look for 'em since they wandered off so they only arrived after we got on the ride.
D'oh.
Here's a nice picture of Wynne. Aren't I pleasant.
Hah.

Classy.
After the ride we crossed the bridge to see if it was any more interesting on the other side. The grass wasn't too much greener. I say this as I don't actually remember noticing anything even remotely memorable.
Wilson and Caf went on this crazy ride! It was literally a pole that swung around in a circle. Vertically.
Looked pretty freakin' insane.
Check out these chicks behind Wilson and Caf. Talk about professional photo bombing LOL.
Actually it's extremely creepy. Who the heck poses for other people's photos? I usually duck for cover whenever I see a camera, like behind a pole or something. And I mean, not even when strangers are happening to take photos near me, but whenever a camera is pointed in my general direction at all.
I heard Josh Pyke was playing on one of the nights; I got really hyped up. And then I heard music so I ran towards it like a complete idiot. I probably looked like some weird freak limping haggardly across the lawn towards the pretty lights but you know what I really like Josh Pyke.
Unfortunately it was not Josh Pyke.
Damn.
Check out his music though, it's pretty good. He's an Aussie artist; here's one of my favourites of his.
It's called "The Summer" and it is ridiculously nostalgic.
Took a video of the fireworks by the Yarra. Surprisingly the fireworks weren't that terrible; the atmosphere was pretty good actually. Weird. I guess most people aren't complete cynics like I am, but of course being a cynic I can't admit there's such a thing.
After that most of the group went home; not much left to do I guess. Joey, Selina and I stayed behind because we're sad and we really wanted corndogs. Oh and those two wanted the grey bear thingies.
In the end we didn't win anything and we couldn't even find corndogs. Can you believe I've never even had corndogs before?? I can't believe they didn't have corndogs there. I'm probably making a bigger issue out of this than I should be. Blame it on my extreme white-washedness.
We settled for poffertjes. Turns out it's not as hard to pronounce as it looks! POF - ERT- JEZ. Poffertjes.
Black Jack is pretty rigged; what they do is give out a load of even numbers and a few odd numbers; you can't add up to 21 without an odd number. It was pretty depressing and money draining seeing people around you getting 21. Oh well.
While waiting for the train to depart Selina updated our failure on Facebook; because we all know that nothing actually happens unless it's validated by a post on Facebook.
Sorry for the long post, y'all. More to come! Or something.
