whose music I have loved since high school
they had kind of a break where they pursued their individual music, which I enjoyed but at the same time nobody had any idea if they were ever gonna get back together
we just
we just didn't know
and then they DID so that was like 'woah' and obviously I HAD TO SEE THEM LIVE because I honestly didn't know if that was ever going to be a thing
but I was very happy that I did get to
back at the Palais Theatre again
I went with Caf, Sarah and Caf's work friend Amy who's also a fan and saw them way back on their first tour
Vancouver Sleep Clinic, I've actually known these guys for a while and love their music
they're an Aussie band and they're legit good
Caf was like, the lead singer's so awkward on stage so no wonder I like them HAH THANKS FOR THAT
you can see Caf on the left of this pic
we were sitting on the lower level, as compared to the balcony last time
honestly I wasn't the greatest at booking tickets super early but surprisingly our seats were pretty close to the stage actually
things are going better than expected
this is an unfamiliar feeling for me
SO FINALLY they come on with a crash
I think I was the only one there who'd actually listened to their new stuff
it's a little moody, like 2-5% moody but I like it
I'm crazy I've pretty much listened to all of A&J's music and I've been listening to their newest album the whole year, it's grown on me a lot and is probably one of my favourite albums
Angus & Julia's stuff is perfect music for summers, road trips, kicking back in your room and chilling and making art or whatever
I was super freaked out and excited to see them like you have no idea
it was so great
I didn't actually take a lot of pictures and didn't record at all I kinda just wanted to not be on any devices the whole time. you know, live in the moment and experience it and all that
anyway I was pretty sure someone else there would probably record something and pop it up on YouTube or something
Angus & Julia were great, they were really relaxed and were joking around and telling stories up on stage
I enjoyed the lighting for this section, it felt kind of like ocean underwater lighting
like the Octopus' Garden or some shit
was a great night, they ended with Santa Monica Dream which is one of my favourites so that was pretty much a perfect end to the night
loveddd this concert and one of my bucket list gigs / concerts / goals / whatever ticked off for sure
here's some of their newer stuff which I dig, give it a listen if ya want
