I've listened to a few of his songs but I'm not like a hardcore fan
but I came along cos I thought it would be a nice, chill night listening to some nice acoustic music
this was an incorrect estimate as it turned out but more on that later HAHA
so Selina was running a little late so I grabbed some quick bites
so we got inside and we weren't really that late at all
I feel like with concerts you can kind of be blasé with what time you show up because the acts never actually go on stage until way later
the inside of the Palais was pretty neat though, kind of like an opera theatre
ya some pictures of us, we were still waiting haha
the opening act was Nick Mulvey, another British musician
he was actually really good, he probably could've toured as headliner himself
dug his stuff
then Ben Howard came on and it was a whole angsty lightshow ! haha
Selina's favourite songs of his are probably the more delicate arrangements so the thrashing guitars kind of took us by surprise
NOT saying it was bad it was just more like 'wait what is happening' it felt like we were at a rock concert haha
he did play some more mellow tunes like Conrad though which was cool
I can understand though, you probably get tired of playing the same stuff day in day out on tours and need to play some new stuff
this gif was from when he was playing Conrad
that was actually really chill and cool
so that was Ben Howard I actually didn't really take that many photos or record today
here's Conrad which you should give a listen to and I promise it has at least 0% super loud thrashing guitars
