Laaaazy

I can't believe it's been exactly a month since I finished exams...
time has passed so quickly...
I was supposed to get a summer job, but I haven't even finished writing up my resume yet...

...crap
I'M TOO FREAKING LAZY.

It's been about 10 days since my last post, and a bunch of stuff has happened...

WEDNESDAY, 7TH DECEMBER

As I expected, Presentation Night was spectacularly dull.
Although to be fair, I didn't catch any performances as I left as soon as I got my award.
(GOT THE HECK OUT OF THERE)

And I went home and read my lovely Shaun Tan books fell asleep.
Actually I still haven't read them, I think I've been saving them for a day where I'm not sleep deprived/drowsy and can devote 100% attention to them...

While I was rummaging around my house for a school uniform, I found this:

It's my really old school shirt, back from like...Year 9?
All parents believe in buying larger sized uniforms, especially during High School when growth spurts are bound to occur...
But this was rather ridiculous, don't you think???
It's like a dress on me.
To this day I still cannot convince my mum that buying that particular shirt was a rather poor (if not unforgivable) lapse in judgement. My poor childhood whatever it's called.

Don't worry, I didn't wear that shirt to Presentation Night. I found a smaller one.

FRIDAY, 9TH DECEMBER
I donated blood with my buddies.

I cannot believe I took this on my 0.7 megapixel iPod camera.

It was really awesome, the staff were pretty helpful and nice and stuff.
Except this one creepy doctor, whose accent I couldn't quite identify...
"Nice, juicy veins you have."
I'm sure he was just taking the mickey out of me...
...right?
And afterwards they gave us these milkshakes and food, like sausage rolls and stuff.
If you're able to donate blood I recommend it! For once I feel like I'm actually doing something positive and beneficial towards others. Probably because I was actually doing something positive and beneficial towards others for once.

...oh yeah, the needle's huge.

WEDNESDAY, 14TH DECEMBER
I finally got my passport after 3 days of running back and forth frantically.
It seems that everytime we went to the post office, there was some kind of problem with our application. Such as; bad photos, missing documents, more missing documents, incorrect information in the document...etc etc.
How ridiculously stressful...
Apparently they didn't accept my first photo because of my glasses, so I had to spontaneously take a new photo after I had just woken up.
I looked like crap.
Still, better than my brother's...his looked like a mug shot.

THURSDAY, 15TH DECEMBER
Went to the beach with friends and got sunburnt.
Actually a lot more happened than just that, but if I try to describe it I'll probably veer into some inane, uninspiring recollection of what are probably entirely unremarkable activities.
Also I have no photos.

BUT WE HAD AN AWESOME WATER BOMB FIGHT.

In hindsight it was probably the perfect thing to do the day before our ATARs came out, it was relaxing to just chill with friends and if I'd been left to my own devices at home by myself I would have been obsessively punching numbers into the ATAR calculator to try and predict a possible score every hour or so.

Although I still did that when I got home.
Speaking of which...

FRIDAY, 16TH DECEMBER
Our ATAR results came out.
My friend Judith roused me out of bed with a call at 9:30 and I went online straight away to check it out...
I was so nervous that as I was logging in to the results page my hands started to shake furiously...and I could hear my heart starting to beat really fast.

I did pretty well though.

I'm not gonna reveal my results here, but if you wanna know I guess you can ask me somehow.
I'm pretty happy with it !

Afterwards, Judith suggested we go over to her house to chill and celebrate our results.
We played some boards games, they're really entertaining. CRANIUM IS A CRAZY BOARD GAME.
I totally think my team (consisting of me + Heiman) would have won if he hadn't rolled the die so badly. We only moved one space at a time! Gahhh.
And don't even get me started on Dame Judi Dench.

I was going to write about something that ticked me off today, but I'd rather not end my post on a sour note so...
Instead, have this.

why does it look yellow? it's not yellow.

I recently got all of my art folio stuff back from school, so look forward to some arty posts soon!

SUPER DAMIO

Yesterday was my friend Damien's birthday, and a few of us got together to make a card for him.

BUT NOT JUST ANY ORDINARY CARD.

Someone had the awesome idea of making it like a game.

"Edward, what on earth do you mean by game you stupid retard", you say.

We made our last year together into some kind of adventure. Damio is Damien + Mario, duh.
I whipped up backgrounds for each "stage".

It was harder than it looks, drawing giant pixels...
I had to draw each one manually, since if I copied it the resolution would be too low to print out on A4.

And Kat helped too since I was fatigued from hours of sitting in front of the computer. (hashtag which is everyday for me)
And of course it wouldn't be Super Damio without the characters.

LOL AT THEIR FACES.
All thanks to Caf's "awesome" Photoshop skills.

I laugh every time I see Wilson's one.
brilliant.
And because I'm a depressing douche.

He lost the game. The final boss was the end of year exams or something?
I hope you don't actually fail, Damo. Can you even fail VCE?

You might notice that in these pictures it looks like the sun is rising.
That's because it was rising, I managed to spend all night on it.
I didn't even finish it before I had to head off to his birthday, which was a picnic. Caf and I desperately attempted to finish it in a coffee shop, managing to reach a new level of public humilation as we filled the coffee table up with crap like the true hobos we are.
I think that's all...I didn't take any pics on the day.

I'VE FOUND A NEW PASSION IN LIFE. NERF GUNS.

They are ridiculously entertaining and I really want one and I will stick skewers in it and fire it at fat kids.
I'm heading off to Presentation Night tonight, it's bound to be extremely boring as always. Hopefully the Year 12's get awarded first so I can get the heck out of there.
In Year 12 they let you buy $50 worth of books as your reward, and you have to go buy them yourself, give them to the school so they can give it back to you later.
I bought these:

AREN'T THEY BEAUTIFUL??? I can't wait till I get them back, I want to read them so badly.
I should really buy more books, but these were so expensive...
Like, 100 bucks for all of them...? I used the $25 book voucher that I got on the Art Night, and then I couldn't resist buying The Red Tree since I was already there...they didn't have it in hardback though.
I better go get ready now.
